Why we get hit by click fraud in Google Adwords

It is very important to know how adwords click fraud work in order for us to prevent or to eliminate them from our computers.

But how and most importantly why click fraud happens to us?

Well, there are two main reasons for performing click fraud: the first one is that maybe the AdWords advertisers try to attack their rivals by having their costs being lifted or by having their share being exhausted in the day. The second reason is that AdSense publishers might click ads which appear on their own websites so that the revenue gets inflated.

The great majority of all invalid clicks on AdWords ads are captured by the online filters. Being continually updated makes them react to a pretty vast diversity of traffic examples and indications of click fraud attacks. For the most part, invalid clicks look on as for less than 10% of all clicks on AdWords ads. At the present revenue run rate, the grand total value of the clicks that we have pinned out as dobtful or indispose or having access being denied to from what advertisers are being charged for is in the hundreds of millions of dollars.

The most ordinary methods for accomplishing click fraud attacks are manual clicking, click farms which means that different persons are hired to manually click ads, pay-to-click sites which are pyramid schemes designed by publishers, click bots which are softwares who do the automate clicking and finally botnets which are actually hijacked computers that are used by click bots.
But is there a difference between “click fraud” and “invalid clicks” and if it is, what is that? Well, click fraud means when clicks are generated with malicious or fraudulent purpose, whereas invalid traffic includes both clicks and impressions on AdWords that Google believes to be suspicious as they are not a result of real user interest.
